Kumar Cotton Mills has been weaving in Narolgam since the early nineties. Grey fabric goes on to our looms in the morning, finished lots come off by evening, and by night they are stacked in the despatch bay for the truck.

We supply wholesalers in Ahmedabad, garment makers in Delhi and Bangalore, and a growing list of boutique shirting brands who want cotton that behaves the same on every lot.

Nothing fancy on the website is going to make our cloth better. What will, is that when you ring the number below, one of us will answer, tell you what is on the loom this week, and courier a swatch by evening.

Fabrics we make

Four everyday cotton constructions, woven to be reordered.

We stay narrow on purpose. Fewer constructions, more repeat lots, tighter shade control. Everything below is available by the roll, minimum orders on request.

Shirting cotton on the mill floor
01

Shirting cotton

50s to 100s combed, poplin and oxford
58 to 60 inch loom width

Our bread and butter. Soft handle for factory stitching, holds a crease after wash, tested for shrinkage before the roll is packed.

Use for Formal shirts, kurtas, uniform lots.
Suiting cotton on the mill floor
02

Suiting cotton

Poly cotton and pure cotton blends, plain and dobby
58 inch

Firm hand feel with a light lustre, cut friendly at the tailoring bench, minimal thread pull when stitched on industrial machines.

Use for Trousers, safari suits, workwear jackets.
Dress fabric on the mill floor
03

Dress fabric

Solid dyed cotton, small dobby patterns, printed grounds
44 to 58 inch

Softer weave for daily wear kurtis and dresses, colour lots matched under D65 light, we swatch first and confirm on chat.

Use for Kurti wholesalers, home boutique labels.
Lining fabric on the mill floor
04

Lining fabric

Pocketing, cambric, mulmul type light weaves
44 inch

The quiet cousin of shirting. Runs smooth under the topfabric, does not bleed on wash, priced to keep your BOM sensible.

Use for Suit lining, pocketing, inner layers for kurtis and jackets.
Loom capacity

Enough throughput to reorder, small enough to still see every lot.

We are a mid sized mill by Ahmedabad standards, which means we can commit to a repeat order without holding up your season, and still catch a shade drift before the loom finishes the beam.

Wholesale programme

How buying from a mill differs from buying from a market shop.

If you are a wholesaler, a private label garment brand, or a boutique making your own labels, buying grey and finished cotton direct from the mill costs less and lets you fix shade issues at source.

01

Minimum order in rolls, not metres

We work in full rolls (roughly 100 metres). Under that, we can point you to a partner wholesaler in the market who buys from us.

02

Shade to swatch, not to promise

Approve a physical swatch by courier before we cut the beam. What ships matches what you approved, or we take the roll back.

03

Standing constructions on repeat

For labels that reorder monthly, we keep your construction on a dedicated loom slot so lead time stays predictable.

04

Direct pricing, no market layer

You buy from the mill, we invoice you, one GST, one delivery challan, no in between commission.

How a roll gets to you

Five steps from your call to the truck.

01

You call the mill

Tell us what you make and how much you need. We share what is on the looms this week and courier a swatch card.

02

Swatch and shade lock

You approve fabric hand and shade physically. We tag your lot number and hold your beam slot.

03

Weaving

Grey cloth is woven to your width and construction, checked on the loom for missing picks and reed marks.

04

Processing

For finished lots we send the greige to our partner processors in Narol for sanforising, dyeing or printing per your approval.

05

Roll, pack, despatch

Each roll gets a length ticket, mill stamp and lot code. We hand it to a transporter of your choice or ours, LR shared same day.

Ready when you are

Send us your construction, we will send back a swatch.

Whether you make ten shirts a day or ten thousand, we would rather quote a real cloth than a brochure.

Get a swatch

Ring the mill, WhatsApp a spec, or drop by the gate.

The fastest way to know if our cloth suits your product is to see a swatch. Message on WhatsApp with what you need, we can courier one out this week.
